Their Meat Market section carries a great selection of organic, raw, dehydrated or traditional foods that are critical to keeping your pet healthy. Unique toys, beds, and furniture (including the Cat Crib) can be found as a part of their unique Pethouse Boutique. One bonus for this new location is the nearby pocket park!

This new store is a great addition to downtown Long Beach and will provide a much needed service to those who live nearby.

Why do we think Cat Crib was given this award?  Our guess is that the special design of the Cat Crib and the way it attaches to chair legs gave it the edge over other designs.  Our cat hammock fits under a user’s chair, utilizing wasted space.  The special way in which people can save space in their homes by not having to use floorspace with large, bulky cat beds is another way our cat furniture differentiates itself.  This is especially important for homes in urban areas where square footage is at a premium.  Apartment dwellers in cities can benefit greatly from the space saving attribute.

An owner’s bond to their cat is a special one and giving their cat a comfy place to sleep is important.  We’re happy that we can provide a place for the cat to hang out while also staying near to the owner.  A Cat Crib is typically installed on a chair or end table that is close to the living room.  The living room is a natural space where people will congregate and visit.  By including your cat in this area instead of in the corner, or up on top of a cat tower or cat condo, your cat can stay a special part of your day to day life.  With the Cat Crib’s never before seen design, we’re happy to be a part of your feline’s life.

Everyone here is super excited to bring you the Cat Crib cat hammock.  We’ve been hard at work over the past year to bring the Cat Crib to the public.  Our new website has launched and we’re eager to get to know everyone!  Before we learn about everyone else though, it is only polite to let you know a little more about ourselves.

Where we are: We live in gorgeous southern California in the city of Huntington Beach (surf city USA!).
Our inspiration: Our inspiration for the Cat Crib cat hammock was our very own cat Vladimir.   He decided one day to rip a hole in the lining underneath one of our chairs.  We came home to see he had crawled up into the chair to lounge on top of the lining.  He was snoring away with one of his paws casually hanging out of the ripped hole!
Our goal: We’re tired of seeing those large ugly cat trees and cat condos taking up so much space in people’s living rooms.  Our goal is to provide cat owners with some different options when it comes to cat furniture.  We believe that cat furniture doesn’t have to take up space or clutter up your living area.  This is especially the case when it comes to apartments and cats.  We live in an apartment and every square foot is precious!  We feel that you don’t need to give up any of your living space in order for your kitty to be happy.  Hopefully the Cat Crib will be a good option for you.
What to expect in the future: The Cat Crib will become available for sale in early Fall 2012.  It will be available for sale on this website and a variety of other outlets.  Before it is available for sale we will be making some “pre-launch” units available at giveaways on other blogs and on our website-stay tuned!
Some other things we love: We’re huge fans of the Humane Society and all the work they do for animals.  We also love everyone’s favorite cat from Japan…Maru!  Our cat model Vladimir is a big fan of belly rubs, salmon, and stalking those annoying birds that fly by.
